Absolutely wonderful efficient service. I took a tumble on Oxford Street and hurt my arm. Less than an hour start to finish, includin X-ray and being fitted with a sling. Great referral from the Savoy Hotel concierge.

The Princess Grace urgent care entrance.
I couldn't resist posing with the Princess.

This hospital took care of my girl, for that alone it gets 5 stars.

We're THOSE Americans that don't have insurance here, so after getting turned away by a hospital and told about several more that wouldn't accept us, we found a home at Princess Grace.

My Laura had several things attack her at once, most prominently her tonsils (explained better in her review). She had this problem before and already knew how it was supposed to be treated, but the doctors took a different approach that still worked out!

She was given all she needed in a very fancy take away bag that looked like something you'd get at a nice department store. Seriously, amazing bag. It's reason enough to get sick and have to come here; who doesn't love a nice bag?

As she mentioned in her review, there was no pharmacy middle man as is commonplace in America, she was given everything on site! It was all very convenient and not busy at all, we went a couple of times and did not have appointments but were seen to almost immediately!

The waiting room has a great selection of magazines as well. Read up on my British celebrity gossip.

It was not my intention to visit a hospital while visiting London this past week. But I did.

I have tonsils that don't agree with my immune system. I woke up one morning with peritonsillar abscesses (google for more info), a fever, swollen glands and swollen tonsils. First thought: SOS.

Prince Grace Hospital saved the day. Upon entering the "private" hotel, I was told I could go to the Urgent Care wing and pay out-of-pocket for my visit. My tonsils screamed at me, "yes, pay."

The receptionist in the Urgent Care area was also my nurse, an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guy who wanted to help this poor American who, with a flushed face and sad eyes, read like a grim Edgar Allen Poe text. I filled out a form and after waiting a short bit, was whisked away to a room to be saved.

The nurse asked me thorough questions and did the regular rituals of temperature taking, tonsil-looking, ear-viewing, swabbing ($60 swab sample), etc. I felt as though I was in good hands.

The doctor came in and asked me more questions, and was extremely friendly all the while. In the painful, disheveled state I was in, this doctor made me feel like he could put me back together.

I was prescribed two different painkillers, antibiotic and an anesthetic mouthwash to help with the pain. All of my medications were handed to me in a fancy, well-designed Prince Grace Hospital gift bag. I did not have to go to the pharmacy, as is common practice in the US.

I left the hospital feeling much better than at my initial arrival. I had to show up the next day because, as the doctor and nurse both suggested, if I felt worse I should come back. The second time I came, the same nurse and a new doctor helped me.

I am now healthy and back to myself, thanks to the Prince Grace Hospital and their amazing care. If I am ever ill and in London again, I will immediately go to my friends at the PGH.

When I was admitted for surgery here I had a not so good experience. The care I got was hit and miss, some days I'll have great people caring for me and some not so great - being vulnerable at the time meant that the inconsistencies in the care I received was not a good thing but I think with slight changes it might get better.

After an MRI revealed that I had a pro-lapsed disc in my back that was causing the disc to cut off my sciatic nerve, my Consultant recommended a set of epidural injections to help the disc to constrict back to normal.

I had the best caretaker, Beth, who with her lovely Irish could have said just about anything and I would have been okay with it. She was quite lovely, attentive and sure to make sure I had all the info I needed and anything else to make my short stay and procedure as comfortable as possible. She knocked it out of the park!

The procedure ended up taking about 15-20 minutes, although I have no clue cause I was in lalaland under local anaesthesia. They kept me a couple of hours to make sure all was welll, which is was. There was a wide selection of food, which wasn't very good, but it didn't disturb my stay.

The Princess Grace is really a first class Hospital and the staff are really friendly and helpful!

Princess Grace Hospital is a private hospital and another one of the BMI Healthcare Group. It is located at the top end of Nottingham Place and you can see Marylebone Road and the queues from Madame Tussauds from it.

Not a hospital I would have chosen normally because of the location, but the consultant I needed worked out of here. I went in as a day case and could not fault anything. The staff were friendly and efficient and it was spotlessly clean. The food was good and you could choose what you wanted. I wouldn't hesitate in using it again, despite the location - a long way from Kent!

These guys do not accept any insurance for some of their services. That's annoying but OK. What is not OK is that they don't write it clearly in their website. The result: an unnecessary visit to their premises and a chat with the most annoying receptionist who felt that she owned the place.

A hospital with a wine list with almost no markup on retail? How could it get any less than five stars?

A friend of mine recommended me the hospital for their friendly and caring personnel. I wen to check my left ear as I was feeling as if it was full of bubbles. I was rather scared and i could harly hear anything with that ear. The doctors took a very good care of me and I owe them a big thank you.
