Our favorite pizza place that is very close to the first district. The pizza is fantastic! It's all about the dough, and they have genuine Napoli pizza dough. They have a seasonal pizza menu that I recommend that you try also. I love that this place is dog friendly, also, so we can stop by on our walk to enjoy some great food! The staff is very friendly, and the prices are on par with about every good pizza place in Vienna.

It's cash only!! But there is an cash machine only 3 blocks away, so swing by there first if you are low on euros.
This is a great spot! The pizza is thin crust, extremely authentic Italian style, and comes with a variety of Austrian ingredients such a sausage from lower Austria or prosciutto crudo from burgenland.
I had the prosciutto pizza with a beer. It was very hot, came out very fast, and was very delicious. A true thin pizza, it was more of a knife and fork affair, though as an american I tried to pick it up and eat it for a while, but it lacked the structure for that. What it missed in stability though it more than made up for in taste.
There are a lot of reservations here for later in the evening and it's a medium sized place, but if you come earlier they have no problem letting you sit wherever you like, though you will be reminded repeatedly of how much time you have left before you have to go if you run up against the reservation time.
It's a bit pricy for pizza, but definitely worth it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15. aug. 2021
We stopped here at the recommendation of a friend who lives in the neighborhood. While the food may be good, we stood in like for seating as instructed by the posted signage. We waited patiently for the staff to seat us. Three different staff members walked by and told us to wait. Despite this, two other parties cut in front of us and were immediately seated. When we asked about the empty tables, we were again told to wait. A simple explanation of some kind (e.g., the tables are reserved) would have sufficed, but we couldn't even get that... In the end, we ended up stepping over to the Schöne Perl (less than 25m away) for a reasonably priced, Austrian meal with great customer service. Needless to say, we won't be going back to Pizza Mari' for any reason. Good food is only part of the equation needed for success.

Excellent outdoor dining with the best pizza in the neighborhood. The team members were friendly and definitely enjoyed meeting new people and making visiting diners feel like locals.

Brick oven pizza spot. Looked to have some good beers behind the bar, but pizza was just ok.
I ordered a pie to go, but ate it on the way home so it was fresh. Crust was very soft/floppy and the cheese and toppings just slid right off. It tasted great, but the dough/crust was so floppy that it made it really hard to eat and just unenjoyable.
I'll definitely go back and try it again, and recommend checking it out yourself, but will wait for a fourth star until I go backHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cevat I.Richardson, USA26182324. okt. 2018
Weird people. Showed up here at 17:30. Door was open so we walked in. They wouldn't even talk to us. I was gonna ask if we could sit so I could go to an ATM and get cash. So we walked out. They just wouldn't interact with us.

I came to check out Pizza Mari because my favorite, Riva, was closed at the time. We were celebrating a birthday so we had a rather large group.
Mari has a good basic menu with classics and a few interesting things. I was happy with my pizza, the Bresaola, but not blown away. The crust was delicious- actually the best part of the pizza.
They have a nice space, very airy feeling and full of natural light. The service was only ok. They seemed a bit annoyed to have to serve a large group. Location is nice for the summer when you could order a pizza and take it right to the Augarten for a picnic with Italian flair.
I will still stick to Riva if possible in the future, but Mari isn't a bad second choice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Guy Y.Alpharetta, USA0502525. apr. 2019
Very nice local Italian restaurant . Not the fancy you'll find the old city . Average price of 9-10 euro per pizza . The personal pizza are quit big enough for one person .

We ate here 3 times on our trip! Incredible authentic neopolitan pizza, complete with the wood fired oven and unsliced pizza. We each had a whole pie and they were AMAZING. We also got a small salad which we split and was very fresh. If you're looking for authentic pizza in Vienna don't miss this place.

Wow, really wasn't expecting to find such good pizza in Vienna! The margherita was as good as any I've had in New York. Also excellent service and friendly staff.
