This is a beautiful restaurant looking over the Hamburg river with an amazing view of all the shipping works. The wine is very nice and the atmosphere is very fitting. Definitely a great place to go for family's or couples as its a very scenic destination.

I had the Caesar salad which was very well done with a perfect portion size. The ingredients were all very fresh and as I said the salad tasted brilliant.

When I next come to Hamburg this is on the list of places i will come back to.

A really good place just along from the Altona Fischmarkt, I came here as one of a larger business group for a get to know each other dinner.
It's a high end establishment with top quality cooking and a premium location on the Elbe with wide panoramic views of the multicoloured, vibrant docks across the water. It isn't the cheapest in Hamburg either, by a long way!
In fact, I have only just begun to absorb Hamburg's love affair with it's industrial heart, and how the most exclusive and expensive places tend to have a eagle eyed position on the huge expanse of cranes, container ships, flashing pickup vehicles, tugs and of course ships. on the night I was there, both the Oriana and the Queen Mary 2 were opposite us in their winter dry docks.
So I had a nice supper of pumpkin soup with river shrimps (local speciality) and then paprika goulasch. Very good, nice wine, and friendly efficient staff.

Came here at 830 on a Saturday ilthe restaurant was maybe a quarter full, not a good sign. It was one of the worst meals I've ever had. I ordered the cod on Avocado and carrot. I got the perch on beats and what looked liked whipped saliva. The meal tasted worse than food served in my grandmother's nursing home. Absolute garbage.
