We stopped in on a rainy day to grab a snack and a drink. I order St Anthony Riesling, which was one of the best rieslings I've ever had. My husband had their marzen and loved it at well.

We also got the spundekas and it was perfection. So tasty and memorable.

The bartender was great and kept checking in on us and our glasses were never empty.

When I asked where to get a schweinhaxe, this place was recommended. It didn't disappoint. I had a very delicious schweinhaxe with kraut and a beer from the in house brewery. We are very impressed by the food. The schweinhaxe was so huge that I was able to eat some of it for breakfast and it was very good even the next day.

In the mood for local ( house crafted beer ) give them a try..., there is something for everyone even though you are not a beer drinker like myself. Our server was friendly and patient with us, the food was tasteful and the atmosphere was very welcoming and lively I will be going back....!

I wasn't expecting too much from this place, but I actually loved it! The food was great, the service was superb, and they had some of the best beer I've ever had. The schnitzel was probably the best schnitzel I've ever had too. I definitely enjoyed this restaurant and would come back if I had the chance. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Schnitzels was HUGE. Unfortunately, it wasn't the dish I ordered. The white sausage and pretzel sounded PERFECT for my "authentic" German meal, but I was quite underwhelmed by the portion size; however, it was actually the perfect light meal. I also ordered a small glass of beer to complete the experience. Next time I'll order a side dish. Loved the outdoor seating.

Food and especially the beer was beyond delightful--even more so was the service. We enjoyed every single minute at this place and we even went back to get more if the divine beer. Awesome place!

Great German food, great beer, great staff. Large place so there is always a table and the service is fast. The beer is made on site and has a slight mead taste. The beer liquor is great too. No smoking inside, which is also a plus. Fun place

Can't go wrong with the pork knuckle or schnitzel. They are also great here with the service.

Still my favorite place in Mainz. Great atmosphere and tasty food. I always have the Schweinshaxe! It was great as usually. Add a liter of the beer and you have a meal. Travel companions had the Wiener schnitzel. Said it was very good also. Wait staff was ready when ever we needed anything.

This is a pretty happening place on a Friday/Saturday night here in Mainz, Germany. It is very busy, communal seating most places and the restaurant does not rush you as it is a casual socializing beer house. We got a whole flight of beers to try for just $30! We didn't order any food, but everything looked amazing.
